Chelsea midfielder, Eden Hazard named Barclays Player of the Year

Chelsea star, Eden Hazard has been named the Barclays Player of the Year for the 2014/2014 Season.

The former Lille midfielder, who contributed tirelessly to his team’s capture of their fifth Premier League title, scooped the award ahead of his team mates including John Terry, Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic.

Other players like Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero; Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea; Tottenham striker, Harry Kane and Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez who were nominated for the award also lost out to the Belgian.

For the season left with only a match, Eden Hazard scored 14 Premier League goals and contributed a total of nine assists.
